| About Digital Art |
| All prints are originals, never reproductions. Each piece starts with a photo, the way a traditional artist starts with a sketch. Once the photo is in the computer, it serves as a guideline. The actual picture is painted or drawn on the computer. I use a digital pen like a brush or pencil in the medium of my choice, such as an oil painting or drawing, a watercolor or pastel, a woodcut or an etching.
Each artwork comes to life brushstroke by brushstroke while I paint on a tablet much like a traditional artist paints on the canvas. The final work is embedded in the computer the way a litho or etching is embedded onto the litho stone or the copper plate of an engraver.
The resulting print is always an original work of art. All prints are state-of-the-art giclées, using archival inks on fine art papers or canvas. As with every print or painting, avoid exposing my artwork to direct sunlight and have it framed under glass to protect it from UV damage. You’ll be rewarded with lasting colors and beauty for generations to enjoy.
